Afrika Shrine Karnival To Teach African History, Say Organisers

The much anticipated New Afrika Shrine Kanival would be historical.

The statement was made by the organizers of the event on Wednesday.

According to the Organizers, the event slated for Jan 17 and Jan 18 would be held at the New Afrika Shrine and would create an avenue to enlighten fun seekers on African history, religion, and culture.

Speaking on behalf of the organizers, Mr. Sunday Essien, told newsmen in Lagos that the Karnival, which is in its 9th edition, has had different topics in the past years that were beneficial to its patrons.

Essien also the Manager at the New Afrika Shrine,  said that the carnival was not just going to be about music and dance, but would include free medical program.

“The New Afrika Shrine Karnival is in the 9th edition and we have done various lectures on health, road safety, youth and politics in the previous editions.

“Hence, this year we want to focus on African history, religion, and culture.

“We want to enlighten participants and create awareness on the need to be connected with our roots.

“The New Afrika Shrine Karnival is an educational, wellness and entertainment program,’’

Essien added that necessary measures had been put in place for the security of potential participants that would be attending the event.
