Covid-19: Funke Akindele Pleads Guilty To Contravening Social Distancing Order

Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele and her husband Abdul Rasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz have pleaded guilty to a one-count charge of violating the Lagos State Government directive on social distancing.
Akindele and her husband Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz, represented by Barrister Abayomi Alagbada were arraigned before a Samuel Ilori Magistrate court in Agege/Ogba area of Lagos.
She was arraigned alongside her husband before Justice Aje Afunwa and  the Prosecuting Lawyer, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN)
They were arraigned for breaching the Lagos Infection Diseases Regulations 2020 (the Regulations) which prescribes a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine or both for persons found guilty of hosting gatherings or flouting the lockdown order.
The court with heavy presence of policemen, and batterrnalists as at the time of this report is waiting for the Judge to resume and deliver judgment.
