The All Progressive Congress national chairman, Adams Oshiomole has said the people of Kwara will retire the senate president Bukola Saraki from politics in 2019, this comes after the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the bye-election in Kwara , Bauchi and Kastina state.
Oshiomole while speaking with Newsmen after the party’s National Working Committee Meeting claimed that the party’s victory in Kwara states was a prove that the All Progressive Congress was still the preferred party of Nigerians, stressing that the way the people of Kwara voted in Saturday’s House of Representatives by-election in the state, was an attestation that they were tired of Saraki mismanaging their political life.
He added that what the people of Kwara have done to him shows they are going to politically bury him come 2019 general elections and he has seen the first warning. This, he said, was most humiliating since Saraki was the acclaimed leader of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara, and had recently led elections in other states.
Oshiomole however, said that the All Progressive Congress would not accept a minority party presiding over the affairs of the National Assembly, saying it is unconstitutional.
Earlier, Saraki had said Nigerians are waiting to see how the bribery allegation against the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, will be handled by President Muhammadu Buhari, While describing the allegations against Oshiomhole as serious adding that the former governor ought to quit politics on moral grounds.
