20-Year-Old Man Arraigned For Stealing Recharge Cards

A 20-year-old man, Banji Adeosun, has appeared in a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, today, for allegedly stealing recharge cards worth N60,000.

Adeosun was said to have committed the offence on February 18, at Ajara Topa area in Badagry, and has been charged with two counts of stealing and breach of peace.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Ade Adeosun, told the court that the accused stole recharge cards which belonged to the complainant, Miss Christiana Williams, while also noting that the offence contravened the provisions of 285 and 409 of the criminal laws of Lagos, 2015 (revised). NAN reports

The Chief Magistrate, Lazarus Hotepo, however, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum, just as he adjourned the case till April 16, for further hearing.
