World Championships: Mo Farah Ready To Compete In 5,000m Despite Injury

Mo Farah is determined to overcome the injury he sustained en-route to winning gold in 10,000m race at the on-going Athletics World Championships in London and compete in the 5,000m race.

The home favorite will look to do a double swoop of both events for the third time in row at the World Championships.

The 34-year old after the race said: “I hurt my leg and I’m going to see a doctor, a few stitches maybe.”

“I’ve got a bad leg,” he explained. “I’ve got such a long stride I got caught twice and at that point I was just trying to stand up.

“I am hurt. I just had to be strong. I’ve got a few cuts and bruises, just recover and get ready for the 5,000m. I’ve got enough days.”
