Nigerians serving jail terms in Lome, Togo Republic have cried out over what they are passing through at the neighboring country, revealing that where they are being kept is like a concentration camp.

Disclosing that most Nigerians in Togolese prisons are business people, the Diasporans stated that Togolese authorities hate Nigerians to the latter, adding that Nigerians are thrown into prison for years without judgment for every little offence.

Citing an example, they stated that while Togolese are handed 2 to 5 years for drug offence, Nigerians residing there get sentenced to between 10 to 15 years for the same crime.

The prisoners of Nigerian extraction expressed their ordeal in a statement signed on their behalf by one Yemi, which was sent to DAILY POST, disclosed that while imprisoned, they (the prisoners) are the ones feeding themselves.
