Tonto Dikeh, Segun Arinze, Others, In Search Of Young Talents… Supports African Children Talent Discovery Foundation

Famous Nigerian actors’ and musicians have joined hands with the President of African Children Talent Discovery Foundation, (ACTDF), Engr. Noah Dallaji to help discover, mentor and nurture to stardom Nigerian children with natural talents to excel.

The celebrities set out to touch Nigerian children includes Black Arrow’s star actor,  Segun Arinze, Alex Usifo, Kate Henshaw, Yemi Blaq, Uche Elendu, Victor Osuagwu, Tonto Dikeh, Lilian Esoro, Thelma Okoduwa Ojiji, Abubakar Yakubu,

 

Also involved in the humanity project are musicians- Olanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, Face, Marvelous Benjy, Baba Fryo.
At the media briefing to unveil the project tagged ACDTF Unleash Your Talent on Monday, at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja,Lagos, the President of African Children Talent Discovery Foundation, (ACTDF), Engr. Noah Dallaji disclosed  that the 2017 edition will hold in Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Nasarawa, Ibadan, Ekiti, Bauchi and Kaduna, on the 17th, 18th and 19th of August respectively.

 

Noah Dallaji further hinted that since the foundation was founded, it has committed to empowering the less privileged who are talented and creative so that they can walk up the social ladder and equally in turn help other less-privileged on the streets.

“We have worked to empower the downtrodden so much so that we walked up the ladder and today we are graded UN grade C status as it relates to NGOs. In 2012, we participated in the Rio 2012 UN Sustainable Development Goals Summit which held in Brazil. I’m happy to state that across the nation and beyond the shores of Africa, we have reached out touching lives in very astonishing ways and are being recognized for that”, Dallaji disclosed.

 

He disclosed further that

Speaking to E24-7MAGAZINE, Segun Arinze shared his excitement working on the project.”The major objective of this foundation is to discover and also empower young talent to explore and exploit.”

 

Popular Nolywood actress, Tonto Dikeh gave kudos to the initiative and expressed confidence that it would lead to the discovery of talents greater than her.

“I key into this initiative, because I believe there are better Tonto Dikeh that are yet to be discovered out there, so we are trying to fish for young talent to the industry is a very lucrative thing.”

Similarly, hip hop act, Sound Sultan gave a thumb up for the organizers.

His colleague, Face was not different expressing the effect of the talent hunt on the Nigerian children.

Nollywood actress, Thelma Okoduwa Ojiji, “It is part of our responsibility as celebrities to rid the society of miscreants and social misfits”, she declared.

The zonal competitions is expected to produce at least three winners from each zone before the grand finale in Port Harcourt..

 

The first prize winners at the grand finale in Port Harcourt in each category of singing, dancing and acting will win respective contracts of one million Naira plus cash prizes and also join us on the trip to New York for the UN Summit while the first and second runners up will get varied contracts in their respective fields worth Millions of Naira as well as cash prizes also.
