Despite reports linking the Portuguese star, Renato Sanches away from the Alianz Arena, Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti seems to have changed his mind about the future of the young prodigy by insisting that he will stay with the Bundesliga champions.
Sanches failed to shine last season after completing a €35m deal last summer, starting only six league matches and expected to leave Germany in favour of a loan deal to English Champions Chelsea as reported but Ancelloti at a press conference says he is staying.
“On Renato, there’s no news,” the Italian said at a press conference for the Audi Cup, a pre-season tournament hosted by Bayern on Tuesday and Wednesday.
He’s started the season with us and he’ll stay with us until the end of the transfer window, on August 31. He played well in our last game.”
