Rachel Oniga Celebrates her 61st birthday as a mother of proud Mother of three, today Wednesday 23rd of May, 2018 with no regrets.
She says this on her Instagram page “How do I begin to appreciate the blessings of marking another year added. In the midst of the storm, I remaining standing against all odds God is faithful he alone deserves all thanks. Happy birthday to me”.
The actress was born on May 23, 1957, at Eku, a town in Delta State, Southern Nigeria. A proud mother of three, the actress became a grandmother on September 5, 2014, after her daughter Georgia Oniga welcomed a baby girl. Over the years, she had featured in classics and successful movies such as “Sango,” “Died Wretched,” “The Only Nigerian Girl” and “Doctor Bello.”
Before she made her major acting debut in Nollywood with “Onome,” Oniga worked with Ascoline Nigeria Limited, a Dutch Consultant Company. In 1993, she divorced her now late husband, after he left her for another woman. Oniga is also a producer. In 2005, she produced “True or False,” a movie about abiku/Ogbanje.
Friends and colleagues have not parted in the celebration as Mr Jide Kosoko recently posted on his Instagram page “Oya help me start wishing her a Happy Birthday by dropping your comment, HBD to you @racheloniga I wish you long life and prosperity (amen).”
Her upcoming films include EbonyLife Films’ “The Royal Hotel Hibiscus,” which would debut in cinemas in February 2018, and Toka McBaror’s “Kada River,” which is yet to get an official release date.
