“Brexit deal is damaging for the economy but devastating for public trust in our democracy”
The turmoil gets tougher as she received a call from a caller on Friday on an LBC radio, who advised she resign as the Prime minister and let a more capable Brexit politician take over, she did not immediately address that part of the caller’s question.
Since Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab, as well as Work and Pensions Secretary Esther McVey, had quit, May was asked if the most prominent post had been offered to Michael Gove, who supported the deal, she replied,
“I haven’t appointed a new Brexit Secretary yet but of course I will be doing that over the course of the next day or so,
Brexit will pitch the world’s fifth largest economy into the unknown. Many fear it will divide the West as it grapples with both the unconventional U.S. presidency of Donald Trump and growing assertiveness from Russia and China. Reuters.
