Zone 2 Police Command on Monday 31st December 2018 through its operatives Zonal Intervention Squad arrested two robbery suspects Oseni uman and Taiwo Orogbemi, however the 34 and 46 year old suspects had no fixed address.

The command operatives while on Visibility Policing at Ogere Remo within Ogun State intercepted a Toyota Sienna Bus, with two occupants. On flagging down the vehicle the suspects attempted to escape but were nabbed by the police.

While searching the vehicle, locally made guns with three live cartridges were recovered and the suspects were subsequently moved to police base for investigation.

Investigations revealed the suspects had robbed residents of Akobo Area of Ibadan in Oyo State where they stole goods worth millions of Naira, phones, laptops and other gadgets which was sold to some residents in Oyo State while the sienna bus was been taken to Lagos for a ready buyer.

The suspects while revealing Ibadan as their operational base said they formed the gang while serving a jail term in Agodi prison in Ibadan.

The Zone 2 Police Public Relations Officer while briefing the journalists said the operational strategy the command put in place for the Yule tide season actually paid off, as she stated further that the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Lawal Shehu has directed the operatives to fish out other perpetrators involved in the crime to ensure due prosecution.
