Nigeria Close Doors To Training Ahead Of Cameroon Clashes

Nigeria are to hold just one open training session as they begin preparations for 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.

Team Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye announced that only the first session, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Tuesday, would be open to media and fans.

The other two sessions, on Wednesday and Thursday, will be behind closed doors.
More than two-thirds of the Nigeria squad hit Uyo on Monday to kick start preparations for their doubleheader World Cup qualifier.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr ushered his charges into the southern Nigeria city, led by captain John Mikel Obi and forward Odion Ighalo, who was first to arrive at camp, a full two days ahead of schedule.

The remaining eight members of the squad are expected to join the group on today.
