Meghan Markle is reportedly embarrassed by her dad’s behaviour these past few months and she’s reportedly planning to get her mother to intervene and “talk some sense” into her father.
The Duchess of Sussex and her dad Thomas Markle Sr haven’t spoken since shortly after her wedding to Prince Harry. They used to be very close but their relationship became strained after he staged paparazzi photos. It got worse when he began granting interviews to badmouth Prince Harry and his family.
Meghan’s father’s behaviour has become too embarrassing for Meghan and she feels the only person who can get her dad to behave is her mum, Doria Ragland.
It is claimed that the former Suits actress is fed up with her dad and “wants to stay away” from him the more he criticises her new husband’s family.
A source, claiming to be one of Meghan’s close friends, told MailOnline:
It has just become so embarrassing for Meghan. Like the elephant in the room when she’s with people she doesn’t know very well.
What frustrates Meghan the most is that her father doesn’t seem to take responsibility for any his actions, as if he can do no harm, and everyone else is to blame. The more he blasts the royal family, the more she wants to stay away.
Thomas Markle Sr recently granted an interview where he compared the Royal Family to Scientologists while accusing them of being “cult like” and secretive.
Meghan is said to be visiting Doria Ragland in California in a few weeks, and a source tells Mail Online that Meghan could ask her to step in.
The source says:
So far, Meghan’s mom hasn’t gotten involved, but that may all change when they see each other in person. Meghan has been adamant that her mom not get dragged into all the drama,.
But if anyone can talk some sense into her dad, it’s Doria. Meghan is now open to the possibility of her mom working some magic behind the scenes.
However, the source says this may be tricky because if Doria talks to Thomas Markle Sr, he will “most likely tell his other children about it, and one of them will go blab about it to the world.”
