Manchester United: UEFA Bans Bailly For Three Matches, Out Of UEFA Super Cup

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly will miss the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid after he was suspended by the European Football governing body for the red card he received in the Europa League in May, UEFA has announced today.

Bailly was shown a straight red card in the 87th minute of United’s semi-final clash with Spanish side Celta Vigo on May 11 and UEFA has now issued a three-match ban on the Ivorian international.

Having missed the final of the Europa league which United won beating Ajax by 2-0, Bailly will miss the UEFA Super Cup on August 8 as well as United’s opening group stage match of the 2017/2018 Champions League in completion of his match ban.
