Hon. Funmi Tejuoso’s Solid Pedigree

She holds the prestigious attainment of being the oldest female member of the vibrant Lagos State House of Assembly, where she was even once the Deputy Speaker.

She has been a veritable contributor on the floor of the house since she came on board for the fourth term running back to back. Representing Mushin constituency, Hon. Funmi Tejuoso has established for herself a solid pedigree in political sphere without even hanging any air around her.

Despite being shuffled out of the deputy speaker’s seat many years back in a very controversial manner, the lawyer-turned-politician has remained un-rattled, unruffled by the unhealthy development. Instead she has remained dogged in her quest to deliver the much-needed dividends of democracy to her beloved constituents churning out several empowerment programmes on a steady basis without waning; much to the amazement of her colleagues in the House and even her political mentors like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

From a very humble background of the illustrious Smith family of Lagos island, and happily married Oke-Ona Egba prince, Kayode Tejuosho, beautiful vivacious and charming Funmi is indeed a study in excellence and perseverance, which is a big plus for her in cool and steady rise in the murky waters of politics, and may not come as a surprise to many if in the near future she inches higher to the national level for greater legislative duties; after all the experience and exposure are there for to fall back on when the opportunity comes knocking.
