This is coming after the declaration of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the Lagos state All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election which held on Tuesday, October 2.

The Lagos APC governorship election was coated in intrigues as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party had earlier insisted that no elections held.
However, the state chapter of the party took a contrary position and declared Sanwo-Olu the party’s flag-bearer for the 2019 Lagos governorship election.
Ambode, who fell out of favour with the party’s national leader, Bola Tinubu, had also addressed a world press conference on Sunday, during which he accused Sanwo-Olu of being mentally unfit to occupy the governorship position.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state earlier insisted that he was prepared to participate in the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a world press conference on Sunday, September 30, the governor claimed party leaders are being misled to think his opponent, Jide Sanwo-Olu, is a better candidate than he is.
He called for calm ahead of the primary election saying the full wrath of law will descend on those planning to disrupt the process.
