Living up to its promise when the Free Data Day package was launched recently, national telecommunications company, Globacom, has declared Friday, 11th August, 2017, as the first FREE DATA DAY on the Glo network.
The company said that eligible subscribers will get 200 MB free data to enjoy a free day of FREE browsing, chatting, streaming, downloading, uploading and lost more on the 11th of August.
Glo subscriber should use 100MB plus N150 on voice calls OR N250 on voice calls between Friday, 4th and Thursday 10th August.
The Free Data Day package was launched recently by Globacom to reward millions of subscribers on the Glo Network.
At the launch of the product, Globacom explained that it is open to all prepaid subscribers, adding that Free Data Day gives Glo customers free data for one whole day when they meet the voice and/or data usage threshold within seven days.
The Company said that the new product will give Glo subscribers more time on the internet by browsing free of charge for a whole day.
“We appreciate the essence of the internet in contemporary world. We are through this product empowering our customers in an unprecedented way in their business, social and educational pursuits”, Glo stated.
It also stated that customers do not need to dial any code to subscribe to any platform before enjoying the benefits, explaining that they would be notified when they have qualified for the Free Data Day.
“When a customer qualifies for the offering, he would be able to enjoy free data usage anytime that day. This unique initiative is first in Nigeria and unveils a new level of freedom to use data. Now the customers can enjoy this free data on the world class new 4G LTE network of Glo,” Globacom said
The company disclosed that the Glo network had been strengthened to provide stronger data and voice services to its subscribers, thus keeping its promise to change the face of telecoms services in Nigeria.
Globacom also assured subscribers that its network capacity has been expanded to accommodate the anticipated traffic that the Free Data Day would add.
