The Icelandic International played an important role, scoring nine goals and contributing 13 assists as Swansea escaped relegation from the Premier League last season but he is set to complete a club record move to Everton.
Everton has agreed to a £45m fee with Swansea for the midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Sigurdson has been a target for the Toffees and despite a £50m price tag place on him, and a deal of £45m has been struck.
Sigurdson, 27, will undergo a medical at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
Sigurdsson’s £45m fee will be a record signing for Everton, beating the £31.8m they paid Chelsea for striker Romelu Lukaku in 2014.
It continues to be a summer of heavy spending for the Toffees. The Merseysiders spent £30m each on Burnley defender, Micheal Keane and Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen joined for £23.6m and Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez was signed for £5.2m.
Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was also resigned.
