Fresh facts have emerged about the lady who parked her sports utility vehicle, a black Ford explorer, with registration number APP 190CE on top 3rdMainland Bridge, crossed over to the other side of the road and jumped into the lagoon on Sunday June 10th, 2018.
Information reaching us has it that the lady’s name is Toyin and she is married to a banker called Tunde, working with a popular bank in Lagos. She got involved with another guy in Nigeria and they both got involved in series of adulterous activities. Her lover, an older guy collected over N10million from her.
She went to arrest him only for him to publish nude pictures of them together in order to prove his innocence to the Police that whatever happened between both of them was consensual, that he’s not a fraudster as claimed by the married woman.
The blackmail from the man got to her husband and this compelled the husband to conduct a DNA test on all his 3 children which later turned out that they are not all his kids after all. Those kids belong to someone else and this was why she committed.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said the agency was yet to ascertain if the report was actually another suicidal case.
An official of LASEMA revealed that the agency was still speaking to people who claimed to have witnessed the incident and was still making moves to ascertain the authenticity or otherwise of the claims.
The police public relations officer for the Lagos State Command, Chike Oti, said: “Information filtered to us that a woman in an Uber taxi ordered her driver to stop inward Maryland, crossed over to the other side and jumped into the lagoon. Well, nobody reported the matter to us, but we cannot just hear such a story and keep quiet.”
“The commissioner of police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, has ordered the Marine Police, Rapid Response Squad, Anti-Terrorism Unit, and the three divisional police stations that the bridge falls under their jurisdiction to fish out the victim, if any. We are still searching.”
