At exactly 7:37 am on Tuesday morning a car was reported to have smashed into pedestrians and cyclists near the House of Parliament, in London, leaving three people injured.
An eyewitness claimed the car drove at high speed, “the car drove at speed into the barriers outside the House of Lords”
Another Eyewitness named Jason Williams as reported by Chicago Tribune also saw a car moving at high speed. He said, “it didn’t look like an accident, how do you do that by accident?”
The Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu of the Metropolitan Police Service has marked the incident as a deliberate and terrorist act, in his statement, “Given that this appears to be a deliberate act, the method and this being an iconic site, we are treating it as a terrorist incident”
The driver, a 29-year old Britsh man was arrested on suspicion of the terrorist act also is being held under UK’s Terrorism Act, however, the British Counter Terrorism Police are still carrying out three searches in central England.
