World heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua is not pleased with Amir Khan’s apology after falsely accusing him of having an affair with his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, hence will take legal action against the former Olympic champion.
Amir Khan’s wife Faryal cleared the air via a series of tweets today denied that she had any affair with Joshua with Khan replying at the tweets but in a rather unapologetic way.
Khan tweeted: “@anthonyfjoshua glad all is cleared up and all lies. I got angry like any man would. No truth to it. Good to know. All the best.”
Joshua, 27, was not impressed by the Khan’s apology, despite replying “apology accepted” to Khan’s tweet. Inside sources from his camp says they are taking legal action against the formal welterweight champion believing that Joshua’s name have been dragged into the mud.
According to Sun Online, the insider said, “AJ’s name has been dragged through the mud through no fault of his own which is totally unfair. We think an apology is the least he should expect.
“Anthony’s team are furious at what they consider to be a publicity stunt. They don’t want to be dragged into the Khans’ business. Anthony’s legal team got in touch as soon as it happened and Amir immediately promised to apologise.
“But it seems he has got his wife to do it – which is disappointing.”
