Finally, the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has declared his intention to run for the presidency.

Saraki made the declaration on Thursday at a Not Too Young To Run Conference in Abuja and in the presence of the PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.

Saraki will battle the Governor of Sokoto Aminu Tambuwal, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar for the People’s Democratic Party’s ticket.
His intention to contest, he said was in response to the call by the teeming youth who have asked him to run for President.

He declared:
“Accordingly, I hereby announce my intention to run for the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the coming General Elections in 2019 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). I do so with the firm conviction that I have what it takes to secure inclusive growth for Nigeria and Nigerians.
