The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial district, Senator Ademola Adeleke has signified his intention to run for governor of Osun State.

Adeleke, who has become famous for his eccentric dance moves at functions, Monday wrote his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to notify its chairman, Uche Secondus of his intent.

The election will hold on September 22, 2018. The politician tweeted a copy of the letter and his campaign posters.

“Today I officially join the Osun Gubernatorial race”, the tweet said.

He urged the leadership of the party to give him the opportunity to fly its flag in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Mr Adeleke until April 2017 was a member of the All Progressives Congress. He, however, decamped to the PDP when he fell out with the leadership of APC over the bye-election to fill the vacant post of his brother, Isiaka Adeleke, at the Senate.
